Dr. Song Maternity Leave |
Dr. Song and Peter are expecting the arrival of
their baby boy in early September! Dr. Song will
be on maternity leave from mid August through October.
In her absence, her patients will continue
to have access to fantastic care with our two other
pediatricians, Dr. Dana Gerstbacher and Dr. Donna
Ruiz. As always, Kandice Stellmon will
continue to be available for your whole family’s nutritional needs.

Introductory Workshop to Baby Sign Language |
Rise & Sign Academy makes learning a family affair with its fun-filled
sign language playgroups. Using kid-friendly music, video
clips, games and story-telling, infants, toddlers and their
caregivers will learn basic American Sign Language vocabulary
through play and
hands-on activities.
Join us here at Whole Child Wellness for an Introductory
Workshop, which will teach you everything you need
to get started signing with your baby. You’ll
learn more than 15 commonly used signs, engage with other
families and participate
in fun educational activities. You’ll also be entered into a
drawing for a Signing Time product. This 1.5 hour workshop
will provide you
with learning materials, a gift certificate to use toward
the upcoming Baby Sign Playgroups and most importantly,
you’ll
have the tools you need to start communicating with your
child, whether he’s
brand new or in the throes of toddlerhood.

Baby Sign Playgroups |
Ready to continue signing with your baby in a playful
and supportive environment? Join our weekly 1-hour
playgroup for newborn to 24 months and caregivers,
as well as expectant families!
Learn to incorporate basic American Sign Language
into your everyday interactions with baby through
play, movement & song. Unique audio-visual media
are designed to support learning, while hands-on
activities stimulate baby & engage adults. Provide your child
with the tools to communicate earlier & with less frustration, and
have fun while doing it!
This 8-session series includes signs for relevant
daily events for babies
including getting dressed, going places, manners,
feelings, and more.
Together with other families, you’ll learn to use your hands to give your baby
a voice, long before she’s able to communicate clearly. This will reduce frustration
and tantrums and increase the bond between you and your child. Dr. Song and
Kenzi are looking forward to signing and playing with everyone there. Come
