We are excited to announce that Therese Trolan, MD (“Dr. Tracy”) has joined Whole Family Wellness! |
Dr. Trolan is realizing her dream of delivering holistic care for children and families, integrating conventional medical practices with natural medicine in our nurturing environment.
Dr. Trolan graduated with highest honors in nutrition from UC Berkeley, attended Creighton University Medical School and trained in Pediatrics at Los Angeles County at USC and Harbor UCLA. She completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Oakland Children’s Hospital and earned a master’s degree in public health from UC Berkeley. Dr. Trolan taught residents and pediatric emergency medicine, has pursued additional training in Integrative Medicine over the last 18 years, and has 8 years of experience in private practice in Santa Cruz. Additional training includes functional medicine, holistic nutrition, homeopathy, herbal medicine, energy medicine, and cranial osteopathy. She is board-certified in pediatrics and completed Dr. Andrew Weil’s Associate Fellowship in Integrative Medicine.
After 5 years at Whole Family Wellness, I am sad to say good-bye to my dear friend and colleague, Dr. Donna Ruiz, as she and her husband relocate to Southern California. While Dr. Ruiz will be missed by all, we have found a fantastic person in Dr. Trolan to fill her very big shoes.
Over the past 10 years, I have developed a unique model of integrative pediatric medicine to care for both well-kids and children with chronic and complex healthcare needs. In our national search for a new clinical partner, we were very careful to find a pediatrician who holds the same core values and philosophy as myself and Dr. Ruiz, and will be able to practice in this same model.
As Dr. Trolan joins Whole Family Wellness, she and I will work closely together as a team to ensure that every family receives the care that they have come to expect and deserve. She will be personally trained by me in our unique protocols and approach to holistic pediatric care. I believe you will be as thrilled to work with Dr. Trolan as I am. Please feel free to call and set up a time to chat with Dr. Trolan regarding any questions you might have or to get to know her better.
Dr. Trolan is now available for scheduling well visits, urgent care visits, and consultations starting June 16, 2015. We are confident all of our families will be delighted with Dr. Trolan’s care!
