Get your child through the cold and flu season… Naturally!

Join Dr. Donna Ruiz and Kandice Stellmon, Certified Nutrition Consultant, for a timely look at safe and effective ways to manage your child’s cold and flu naturally.

During the first hour, Dr. Ruiz will review holistic ways to treat your children using homeopathy, herbs, essential oils and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Topics discussed will include colds/flus, earaches, sore throat, and stomach flu. We will help you put together a home remedy kit for your whole family to effectively manage many of your children’s acute healthcare concerns.

In the next hour, Kandice Stellmon will demonstrate how to make healing foods and beverages that will support your body during a cold or flu. Learn how to make mineral-rich bone broths from scratch, healing immune-boosting herbal teas, and a Vitamin C-rich rosehip spread that will nourish you and your family from the inside out. Kandice will also be discussing which foods to avoid during a cold and flu and which foods to indulge in!

Dirty Dozen for 2012
The Environmental Working Group (EWG) is a fantastic non-profit organization whose mission is "to use the power of public information to protect public health and the environment."To help us all find safe and healthy food, they publish a Shopper's Guide to Pesticides in Produce, otherwise known as the Dirty Dozen. The guide for 2012 includes 14 foods that the EWG suggests to buy organic because they are frequently contaminated with pesticides, and a “Clean 15” list that are the foods lowest in pesticides. Finally, you can download a portable pdf version of the guide to keep in your wallet. We wish you all happy and healthy eating!
